The Spiritual Side of Herne Bay

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I have lived in Herne Bay since 1996 and I absolutely love it, even though many people mock it for being a retirement town, full of old people. In the intervening years there have been many changes to Herne Bay with the average age of the citizens dropping considerably, 1,000’s of homes being built and new shops & businesses springing up. All in all quite a normal, modern, conservative town right? WRONG! Herne Bay has much history to offer along with many quite surprising aspects.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

In ancient times Herne Bay was considered very spiritual, there are not many relics around anymore to prove that but those that remain are important. Herne Bay is nestled between Whitstable & the ancient Isle of Thanet (no longer an island) on the coast of Kent, both of which also have their own spiritual connections.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

We are thought to be on a direct Ley Line to the spiritual Mecca of Glastonbury in Somerset, this is thought to one of the reasons the Ancients chose to commune here. If you go to the Tankerton area of Whitstable you will find a wide sandbank, called ‘The Street’ which at low tide extends out to sea for some distance, although you need to take care as many people have been stranded, cut off from the mainland as the tide closes in behind them! This sandbank was actually a launching site for the burial boats of the Ancients, pushed out to sea whilst burning to return the soul of the dead to the Gods.  The boats were also sent in the direction of the Isle of Thanet where they were then unloaded and the bodies buried so you can see now where the ancient, spiritual history comes in.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

In more modern times most seaside places had the local fortune teller or psychic to draw people, Herne Bay is not so different now except the psychic, clairvoyants, tarot card readers and mediums are more open about what we do, as are their clients.

Many people are drawn to Herne Bay who are spiritual in nature, as was I. When I arrived here in 1996, I automatically discovered many likeminded people, though I was not aware I was looking for them! If you go to my ‘About Me’ page you will find the full story there about that aspect of Herne Bay.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Over the last 5 years as I have become better known for spiritual & psychic work – previously this was my hobby – I have seen a rise in the number of people who are openly in to this subject yet in other places I visit the community is very closed off to it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Since I started my Mind, Body, Spirit events at the Kings Hall in Herne Bay I have seen a growing number of people opening up and talking about their interest in the subject not to mention a growing number of men who are seeking psychic readings & answers to ‘why are we here’ and the like. As the psychic world becomes more mainstream or socially acceptable I am seeing more & more of the Herne Bay business owners seek me out for ‘Business Consultations’ which is fantastic, however the one thing I find all these clients have in common is that they all have their own intuition which they are tuning into more & more, with their readings actually being less about what is going to happen and instead is plain confirmation of what they already thought but were unsure of.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

For those of us that need guidance on how to use our psychic nature I am seeing a huge level of workshops, courses and development circles available aimed at getting the abilities working, people are just so much more opened minded than they were.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

It is also said that Herne Bay has many ghostly stories to report which I would agree with due to the level of calls about houses being ‘haunted’ or children having ‘weird experiences’ especially in t he roads that have had a history connected with the church! There is also now a Herne Bay Ghost Tour so check that out too if you dare!

If you would like to know more about our events, readings or the free giveaways from my mailing list you can find it all on my website.
