When people talk about Reiki they mostly think of illnesses or painful conditions that need healing such as arthritis or high blood pressure etc. As a Reiki Master I have been healing for many years and before that I was a healer with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers so all in all I come across a variety of different clients, some of whom fit the bill above and others who don’t.

What is Reiki? Reiki means Rei – God’s Power or Higher Wisdom & Ki – Life Force Energy. It is a Japanese energy based healing modality which dates back to the late 1800’s, in the time since then it was taken to Hawaii and eventually made its way to the UK, the Reiki we use now is vastly different to the original Japanese version but it still brings the same outcome…..healing. If you are lucky your local NHS may provide Reiki but not every NHS Trust is lucky enough to offer it.

Reiki actually helps with all dis-ease whether emotional, physical or mental and so if you suffer from anxiety, you would definitely benefit from Reiki. It is non-invasive and all you have to do is lie or sit there and enjoy it.

During a session you may feel a variety of sensations, Reiki also continues to work after the session has ended and although you may have a session of Reiki for your anxiety it will help with other blocks or issues you may have. It will improve your sleep and may even transform your dreams making them more vivid.

Reiki can help to calm panic attacks, lift your mood and generally make you feel more relaxed and less stressed, sounds great right?

Reiki is usually a physical experience however it can be used remotely via Skype or Zoom etc as well as being sent absently which means the person receiving it may be the other side of the world and unaware of the fact healing is being sent. Their permission or that of their Higher Self must always be asked though.

During the Covid-19 lockdown the levels of anxiety and depression have risen steeply and I am so pleased that I can offer this service to people, however many people do not realise that Reiki can help or that they don’t need to visit in person to benefit, so don’t let Coronavirus stress you out & prevent you from seeking help.
