The tarot is not just about the future it is also a reflection of the world and the events affecting it. If you are struggling to pull a card each day which has relevance to you, then it may be you are not very self orientated – this does not mean the rest of us are selfish or too self aware, some people just do not see their self – if this is the case for you try picking a card each day then see what it says about events on a bigger scale.

Today I drew the Eight of Swords which would show I am feeling blocked or stuck, but in actual fact I do not feel like this right now. However when I pulled the cards this morning I was thinking about life in general terms and the world around us, probably because the news had been on shortly before. So if I take this card against a backdrop of world events this card suddenly becomes relevant:

Prime Minister David Cameron has started his campaign for the election of 2015 and he says he has ‘the task of turning this country around’ and that he ‘wants to see the job through’ with this card in his reading though I would say he feels that he is bashing his head on a brick wall, that he has tried everything (or feels he has) and so now needs to get perspective on the matter so he can achieve his goal this time.

Does that help you to see where the tarot can apply to a bigger issue? Now you try it, go focus on the world, pull a card & see what it relates to. World events affect us all so your sitters may be influenced by the world stage as well as their own issue.
